RANFURLY SHIELD. CHRISTCILURCH, March 21. At the annual meeting of the Canterbury Rugby Union, the President. (Mr S. F. Wilson) said it had bi'eii suggested by an outside union that, in view of the depletion of the provineinl teams by the South African tour, the Ranfurly Shield games he nut played. The speaker believed that I hero was not a delegate present who would sup port such an idea. ’The Shield games should be played, and they would give a chance Io many young players. ALL BLACKS FIT.
