FRENCH RUGBY TEAM.
REGIONAL TEAMS TO REPRESENT FRANCE. SEQUEL TO DEFEAT OF WARATAHS. (Received January 15 at 8 p.m.) PARIS, January 14. In view of the South-West’s success against the Waratahs, newspapers discuss a proposal to abqlish the AllFrance teams, substituting regional fifteens. Spectators at Bordeaux hooted and cat-called the national team selectors, crying “The All-Franco team is before you! ” It is emphasised that the selection of teams from the whole of France leads to a lack of combination, as the conception of the game differs in various parts. It is suggested that France should be divided into three districts.
