SEVERE EARTH TREMORS.
In British East Africa. FISSURE NINE MILES LONG. SUBSTANTIAL BUILDINGS DESTROYED. CAPETOWN, January 10. Three severe earth tremors at Nairobi caused a fissure, nine miles long in the Lake Baringo area. The earthquake destroyed substantial mission, buildings in the Kenya district/. The /Commissioner’s • residence at Rumuruti, and the police station at Nyeri were destroyed.
