REEFTON NOTES.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) REEFTON, January 11. A meeting of the Cycling Club was held in the Clubrooms on Tuesday night. It was resolved that a cup be procured by the Club for competition as an aggregat? prize for the financial rider who scores the most, points during the season: First, 5 points; second, 3 points: third, 2 points; fourth, 1 pcffrit. The membership fee was fixed at 5s for senior members, and 2s 6d for junior members under 16. The first race of the season was set down for January 25th, nominations to close on the 17th. It. was agreed to consider the holding of (‘veiling sports, cash prizes to be given for the opening race. It was also decided to look info the matter of procuring a trophy for I,he rider putting up the fastest lime during the year, official limos to be taken. The meeting concluded with a. hearty vote, of thanks to the chair. The next Electing was set down for Tuesday, January 17th. Mr C. Mori, son of Mr and Mrs C. P. Mori, of Reef ton, has been transI forced from the Public Works Office at Greymouth to tlwit of Napier. Mr and Mrs O. J. Davis, accompanied by their son, Mr N. Davis, left this morning by private car for Nelson, thence to Wellington. Miss S. Farrell has returned from her holiday trip to Christchurch. Miss Moye, of Wellington, is spending a holiday with Mrs J. H. McMahon, Upper Broadway. Miss D. Goldie, of Hataitai, Wellington, who has been spending a holiday with her aunt, Mrs 11. Cooper, | left yesterday morning for Wellington. Miss N. Dunne, Anderson Street, leaves for Greymouth this evening, en [route Io Wellington. A meeting of the Reef!on Cricket Club will be held to-morrow night (Thursday) at 7.30. Mrs Quintrell, who has been spending holidays with her parents, returned to Roa by this evening’s train. Mr 11. C. Worry has returned to Wellington. Mr F. Ferris, Miss J. Jacobs and Miss B. Ben fell, of Ikamatua, visited Recfton to-day. Miss D. Rivers was a passenger by yesterday’s express.
