N.S.W. WHEAT HARVEST. SYDNEY, January 10. Latest officials returns show that the wheat harvesting is largely completed and gathered, mostly under favourable conditions. The yield on the whole is bettor than anticipated. SYDNEY WOOL SALKS. SYDNEY, Nanury 9. At the wool sales, under very strong competition the market ruled about 5 per cent over the opening rates of the previous week. All descriptions shared in the demand, and very full satisfactory clearances made. Greasy merino sold to ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE. Messrs M. Houston and Coy report: At yesterday’s sal at the above yards At. yesterday’s sale at the above yards our entry consisted of 41 head of fat cattle. There was a smaller attendance of buyers than usual, and competition was rather dull, with the result that prices were down considerably on those ruling at previous sales. Good ox beef realised from 32s to 35s per hundred, whilst cow and heifer beef sold from 20s to 27s per hundred. The following sales were effected:-—On account of W. A. Jamieson 1 cow and heifer at £7 17s 6d, 2 at £8 2s 6d, 2 at £6 12s 6d, 2 cows at £6 12s 6d, 1 at £7 15s, 2 cows at £6 2s 6d, 2 bullocks at £l2, 2 cows at £6, 2 bullocks at £l2, 1 cow at £5 7s 6d, 2 at £6. 2 bullocks at £l2, 2 at £9 17s Gd, 3 bullocks at £l2, 4 cows at £B. On account of W. .1. Wallace: 2 bullocks at £lO 12s 6d, 4 at £lO 10s, 4 at £lO 10s.
