(Pp'r Ptpbs Assn.i’ WELLINGTON, Sept. 1. At the N.Z. basketball tourney, Auckland beat Southland 83/33; Wellington beat Canterbury 42/13; Ashburton beat Otago- 38/26 and North Island beat South Island 59/34. Auckland won the championship, Wellington being second, and Otago third. Auckland won all six games it played. Wellington lost only to Auckland. The Cup was presented by Mrs J. G. Coates.
