Kent won by an innings and 66 runs. Hampshire: First 296 (Newman 72, Livesey 56 not out). Second 361 for 9 declared (Kennedy 118, Mead 64, Newman 78). Notts, first 147. Hampshire won on the first innings. Sussex, first 329 (Bowley 83, Tate 59). Irvine took 4 for 96. Second, 151 for 9 declared. Cambridge, first 353 (Judd 93, Dawson 54, Robin 85). Rowley took 4 for 41 ; second 82 for 5. Match drawn. Yorkshire, first 486 for 7 declared (Holmes 126, Ohlroyd 111, Leyland 66, Kilner 56). Somerset, first 140, second 194 (A. Rippon 59). Rhodes took 4 for 6. Yorkshire won by an innings ami 152 runs. For Warwick against Surrey, Parsons scored 125. For Surrey, Ducat made 166, Barling 124. Fender took 5 for 140. Warwick won.
