CANTONESE READY. Will Legations Flee? (Australian & N. Z. Cable Assn.) HONG KONG, June 16. General Yen Shishan Fuchun, of Shansi, has definitely gone over to Chang Kai Shek and claims to have 120,000 men ready to attack Pekin. Chang has asked that all available aeroplanes at Canton be sent immediately to Nanking. Grave fears are felt among the authorities of Chang Kai Shek making a coup, and vigorous measures are being taken to prevent such development, including the declaration of martial law and wholesale executions of men, believed to be Chang Kai Shek’s troops disguised as civilians. The situation is tense. LONDON, June 16.

In the House of Commons, in reply to a question, Mr. Locker-Lampson said that the Government is fully and constantly considering the advisableness of removing the British Legation from Peking to the Coast, but it had no present intention of withdrawing.
