ELEVEN MORE IN RUSSIA. Roumanian Spies. (Australiau and N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Received June 14 at 8 p.m.) PARIS, June 13. An Odessa message reports the trial of sixteen persons there on charges of espionage on behalf of Roumania. Ot these eleven have been condemned to death, three have been imprisoned for ten years, and two acquitted. Those condemned were also accused of illegally conveying persons to Roumania who were escaping from Russia. POLAND’S REPLY TO SOVIET. LONDON, June 13. The Daily News Geneva correspondI ent says that the Polish Foreign Minister, replying to the Soviet demands, points out: — (1) That the assassin was handed over for summary jurisdiction; (2) Polish procedure enables a Soviet representative to attend the trial; (3) the Polish Government is not aware of the existence of terrorist organisations in Poland. They are specifically forbidden, but Poland is prepared to examine the Soviet ’s evidence, and dissolve such bodies if their existence is proved. ROUMANIAN SPIES. LONDON. Juno. 13.
