BOWLING.
VISIT OF AUSTRALIANS TO N.Z. WELLINGTON, October 28. According to the Brisbane “ Courier” of 20th October, the proposed visit of a Queensland bowling team to New Zealand at Xmas has been abandoned. It is stated, however, that individual players may make the trip. There was very little response to the Queensland Bowling Association’s efforts to get a team together. According to private advice just received from Sydney, a New South Wales team will leave Sydney about the end of February next to tour New Zealand. It is understood the team will consist of about thirty players, and that Mr John Scott (President of the New South Wales Bowling Association) and other members of the executive will be in the party. No test matches will be played.
