'The suggestion that the best farming lands in South Tarauaki are over valued by as much as one-third, is contained in the substantial reduction of four blocks near Normanby, comprising some of the richest lands i-n Ilawera County, and aggregating nearly a thousand acres. The average reduction granted on the present unimproved value was over thirty-four per cent. When the last valuation was made in 1919. the total unimproved value on 953 acres i?nder notice was £51.595. The new figures set it down at £33,66/ .
