— Onr Own (Correspondent. 1 There was a good attendance at the Shop Assistants’ Euchre and dance on I’ucsday (‘vvaiiig. The prizes were won by Mrs J. Eager, Miss Ellery Mr F. McCaffney and Air F. Uorbett. Alisses Brooks supplied the music for the dance, and Mr S. I’. Duffy carriml out the duties of M . C. The death <ccurred at her residence Shell Street, at an early hour on Wednesday morning of Airs James Moore, relicl of Ihe lata 1 ’Air James Aloore, of Crushington. The deceased lady, who had hee«.i in failing health for some considerable time, was a native of Dub- | 'in, Ireland SO years of age. and had been a resident of this district sine-. 1 1877. She leaves a family of two sons and six daughters—Mr D. Moore (Fairdown), Mr James Moore (Miramar), and Mi‘>dames G. Sp.arke, ('. E. Fabian, J. G. Twohill, A. G. Wallace ( Welli'Ugton). AlcAinch (Kaikohe), and Miss E. Moore ( Reefton ). The interment takes place in the Town Cemetery to-day (Friday ) Requiem Mass being celebrated in the Church of the Sacred Heart at 5.45 a.m.. the funeral leaving at 2 p.m. SPORTS TOURNAMENT.
