The Diggers here are making good headway into their white pine bush. A wedding took place at Kanieri. the couple being ATr John Ferguson, if Hari Hari, South Westland, to Miss Parker, of Kanieri, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Parker. A farm of 324 <* lores belonging to Airs G. Rossenbeck, was put up for auction last Saturday. Bidding started at £5OO, and was passed in at £525. It is reported that the property was sold later, privately, to a Mr Hewer, junr, of Hari TTari for the sum of £l,lOO. This includes a few sheep and cows, also a 100 laving fowls. A nasty accident happened on Sunday to Air Ji’n Rochfor<r through a plug of dynamite falling into the fire, tt appears three of tho men were sitting - at the fire when the explosion orcurred. Air Hoch ford was wounded in the face and leg. The injured man. who is a surveyor for Messrs Stewart nm|, Chafimaii, was conveyed to the \Vosi land Hospital.
