FUSION PARLEY
STARTS TO-DAY The Delegates WELLINGTON, Juno 17. Committees representing the Reform and Liberal Parties will meet in Millington to.morrow to consider the fusion proposal. The four Reformers chosen for the meeting are: Messrs O. Havkin (I’n. tea), J. 11. Young (Hamilton), L D. Burnett (Temuka), AV. J. Girling Wairau). The Liberal representatives are: Messrs G. Forbes (Hurunul), AV. FI. Masters (StratforM, A. J. Murdoch (Marsden). Tn announcing the Reform Commit tee. Hon Mr McLeod said the rmm<s were suggested by the Prime Minister and they made the Committee as re. presentative of the Dominion as possible. There were two from each Island, and each Island had one Conn, tv and one Town representative. The Reform delegates would go to the Conference tied in no way, as to their line of action, with the reservation, however, that nothing can bo deci 'ed till' after the Committee reports to the Reform Caucus. This condition was imposed by the Reform Caucus when the subject of a fusion was mon tinned on the occasion of the meeting which elected Mr Coates Loader of the The Liberal representatives all were in ‘Wellington to.clay. The Reform representatives are either in the city or on their way to it. The meeting is to take place at 2.30 p.m. in the Attorney-General’s Office.
