(Special to Argus.) WESTPORT, April 26. Mrs Pairs, of Nelson, gave a demon stration, under th e auspx-es of ih< Municipal Gas Department ot a pa tent ga.s cooker. The demonstratioi took place at the Town Hall, and w:u attendedby about 40 ladies. The pation provides for the cooking to ht done, with an exceptionally small con sumption of gas, one penny halfpenny’s worth of gas being- a»ll that is required to do one hour’s cooking.
