12.000 INDIANS STRIKE. ON RAILWAY' WORKS. DELHI. April 21 Twelve thousand Indian artisans, engaged in the Lasore-Karaehi centres of the North Western Railway, struck for better conditions. A thousand men were dismissed ami the Karachi workshops closed. New workers are being engaged. The normal train service :s being maintained by loyalists. ‘. ALSH ISLAND STRIKE. (Received April 23 at 9.10 pJO.) SYDNEY, April 23. A mass meeting of the strikers at Walsh Island was held at the Newcastle Trades Hall, and it was decided to declare Walsh Island Works “black,” and to ask all the unionists employed there to cease work. If this decision is carried into effect, over one thousand employees will bo rendered idle.
