FATAL FIRE

RATHER AND SON VICTIMS. W AIPAWA, April 17. Fire early this morning resulted in Morris Flynn, eighty-five, and William James Flynn, forty-five, being burnt to death. The former who slept in a wliare adjacent to the latter’s store had not been very well for some time. He was visited by his son about four o'clock and the fire was discovered an hour later. The son rushed into the whare to the father’s rescue, and it is supposed that he was overcome by the smoke Both bodies were hadlv burnt ;md almo-i unrecognisable.
