TO-DAY’S BIG RACE. KEEN INTEREST SHOWN. (Received July 20 at 9.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 20. Interest in to-morrow’s sculling championship is very keen. The latest reports show both men are fit, and are confident. Paddon’s weight is about 13st. 101 b and Hadfield’s 12st 41b. Paddon has a more intimate acquaintance with the course, but Hadfield has lost no opportunity, since going to the Richmond River, to master its intricacies. Immediately after the championship Major Goodsell and Sharpe (Hadfield’s pacer) will row a match over the course for £lOO a-side.
