BURGLARIES IN CHRISTCHURCH. (Special to “Argus.”) CHRISTCHURCH, October 12. Three burglaries have been committed in the last two days in Christchurch two at Brighton at the Pier Hall, and on a launch, ami the third at the Canterbury Park Trotting Club. At the I'hr Hall the proprietor’s being aroused mused the burglar to decamp hurriedly. He took £1 that was in the till and helped himself liberally to sweets and soft drinks. The arrival of the owner of the launch disturbed the activities of the second burglar, who was lying in the stern of the boat. Several lockers had been burst open and a quantity of food taken. In the third case the Canterbury Park Trotting (Hub stewards’ room was broken into and a quantity of liquor stolen.
