WILL HE RESIGN?
GEORGE’S ANNOUNCEMENT SATURDAY. [A. and N.Z. Cable Association.] LONDON, October JO. The Reform Club, Mam-hoster, gives a luncheon to Mr Lloyd George on Saturday. The Premier is expected to deliver an important speech on home and foreign policy. Mr Chamberlain, on Friday, deals with the Near East at Birmingham Conservative Club. There is significance in this arranged -luncheon for the Prime Minister, for, in Manchester, the most vigorous efforts have been made to bring about a re union between the Coalition-Lib erals and the Wee Frees. Mr Lloyd George is expected to justify his policy, answer his critics, and reply to a recent scries of Conservative attacks. Some newspapers think the speech may be something more than an apology, and may be a manifesto recognising a new situation.
