Progress, due from Wellington, NOTES. The Waimea is due here to-day from Wellington via Tieton and Westport, with chaff and general cargo. The Regulus leaves Wellington today for Nelson, Westport, and GreyInouth with general cargo. She loads coal for Wanganui. The Ngakuta sailed at midnight on ‘Monday for Wellington with a load of coal and timber. She will return on Saturday.

The Kamona should get away to-day -for Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin with coal and timber.

The Kamo arrived at midnight from Westport. She loads coal and timber for Lyttelton, Timaru, Oamaru and Dunedin.

The small sailer Edna will arrive this week from New Plymouth, from which port she sailed on Monday. The Progress is due from Wellington, and will bring cargo for Hokitika. TELEGRAMS. MELBOURNE, October 10. Arrived, Ihumata, from i\cw Zealand. WESTPORT, October 10. Sailed at 12.35 p.m., Kamo, for Greymouth. BARQUENTINE LAURA. The three-masted barquentinc Laura has not visited this port for home years. She arrived yesterday from Bluff, which port she left at 12.15 p.m. on Tuesday of last week. The Laura i« of 326 tons register, and will take in a load of timber for Sydney. At Bluff she picked up general cargo, and she will remain in this port about three weeks.
