APPALLING REVELATIONS. SYDNEY, July 17. i Investigations by a committee of the ! Women’s Council, collecting evidence in favour of prohibition, and systematical- j ly visiting the city wine bars, discov- ! cred that extensive drinking exists among women and girls. In one case ■ 16 b: rs were visited and 12G women and girls were found drinking. Many were intoxicated and some had children in their arms. Another visit to seven bars discovered 72 females, mostly girls. :
