WIRELESS CHAIN.

THE IMPERIAL SCHEME. (Rec. July 14, 5.5 p.m.) “ LONDON, July 13. Mr Kellcway, in the House of Commons. in reply to a question in regard to the wireless chain, said that, after further consideration, the Government had decided to erect a wireless station in England of the ultimate power contemplated by the expert commission, instead of the smaller power proposed to be used in the first instance. This will provide direct commercial communication with India, South Africa, and Australia. A station would also be erected in India capable of direct communication with Australia, South Africa, and England. As a corollary to this decision, it is proposed that a second station in Egypt and one in East Africa be deferred, and the question of erecting stations at Singapore and Hong Kong be reconsidered.
