PROGRESSIVES AGAINST ALLIANCE.
SYDNEY, June 2. The Graziers* Conference decided against a political alliance with any other party. This will be embodied in the constitution of the Progressive Party. Motions were carried in favour of proportional representation and condemning the Government for not reducing Cabinet to eight members, also urging the Government to repeal pricefixing, the 44-hour week, and the basic wage for rural industries.
