ALLEGED GAMING HOUSE. PALMERSTON N„ Mny 2!>. In connect ion with a charge preferred against William Davidson, alleg ing that at Palmerston North on April 17, being the occupier of certain premises, he did use the same for the puijiose ol’ betting with sundry pt'rsons by telejdiont*, thereby keeping a com mon betting 1 house, and also keeping a .common gaining house. * Mr Stout, I S.M., held that there was no evidence lo show that Davidson personally accepted any bets over the telephone, and dismissed the charges.
