YOUTHFUL THIEVES.

FIVE BEFORE THE COURT. AUCKLAND, Alay 29. Five youths, aged from .17 to 19, to- ] day admitted 12 charges of breaking and entering, and theft from business premises in various parts of the city. All the lads did not take part in all tin* offences. Three were concerned in breaking and entering a house at I‘ilia, West Coast, from which they took provisions, bedding etc. The total value of the property stolen is about £5O. The accused were commiued for sentence. Publication of the names of the youths was prohibited. Three of the buys admitted converting a motor car to their own use, but not so as to commit a theft. Two others admitted a similar charge in reference to another ear. Sentence was deferred. In all the offences were committed in a short period.
