ENGLISH COUNTY MATCHES, LONDON, May 23. Hampshire, S 3 and 208, beat Glamorganshire, 36 and 76. Leicester, with 302 and 281, drew with Kent, who made 440 and 38 for three wickets. Essex, in tho second innings, made 407 for nine wickets (Russell 108), and declared. They drew with Surrey, who made 263 (Hobbs 102) and 203 for throe wickets (Ducat 108 not out). Yorkshire, with 342, beat Northants, 79 and 88. MacAulcy took four wickets for 11 runs. Warwickshire, 170 and 116, boat Gloucester, 105 and 84. Notts, 421, beat Derbyshire, 115 and 176. Lancashire scored 160 for two wickets agains Worcester, and declared. Makepeace scored 162, and Hallows’ 179 not out. Worcester were dismissed for 289 and 96. Parkin took seven wickets for 23 runs. Oldfield, of the Australian Eleven, has boon invited to play for the Commons against the House of Lords on June 15. Oldfield leaves for Sydney at the end of June.
