WEDDING.
BLIGH—STRAIGHT. A quiet but pretty wedding took place at the Presbyterian Church, Greymouth, yesterday, the contracting parties being Miss Jessie Straight (sixth daughter of Mr ami Mrs Straight, of Blackwater, and late of Kumara), ami Mr Joseph Bligh, of Mananui, Westland, 'rhe bride, who was given away by Mr 'Tom Richardson, her brol her-i n-1 aw, looked charming in a navy blue tailor-ma.de costume which was nicely worked with silk to match. She also wore a henna velvet hat, ami a beautiful fox fur, the gift of her mother, and an ivory prayer-book with streamers. The bride was attended by Miss Jeanie Straight, her sister, who wore a grey coat-frock, trimmed with henna, her hat being of black lace, trimmed with henna, crown and si ream ers. She also carried an ivory prayerbook. Tin* bridegroom was attended by Mr T. Straight, brother of the bride* as best man. After the ceremony, Hr 1 guests adjourned to the residence of Mr and Mrs Roberts, of Brick Street, where a sumptuous breakfast was partaken of, and the usual toasts were duly honoured. Afterwards the happy couple left for Christohuch, where the honeymoon will be spent. 'The presents were numerous and costly, the bride’s present io the bridegroom being a set of military brushes, while the bridegroom’s present to the bride was a gold wristlet watch, and to the bridesmaid a gold bangle. The bride’s travelling dress was a fawn gabardine costume with hat to match.
