WELLINGTON R.C. SECOND DAY’S RESULTS. The Wellington R.C. Autumn Meeting concluded to-day before a large attendance. There was splendid racing, but the investments on the tote showed a falling off. The machine for | the day handled £64,416, against £B2,- | 217 for the second day last year, making a total for the meeting of £104,.»2;», against £139,140 last year, a decrease for the meeting of £34,015. KING’S HORSES WIN. LONDON, April 1. The King’s colt Weather Vane won the important three year old Greenham Stakes at Newbury, beating the strong Derby fancy Lambaeh. Later His Majesty’s horse John Green won a five furlongs handicap. Enthusiasm over the Royal double was most intense. One critic declares it was the happiest day in the racing world since Minoru won the Derby. They point out that the King’s success follows years of dissappointment and discouragement.
