WEDDING BELLS.

BUCKLEY—DUGGAN. At the Catholic Church, Runanga, on Monday morning at 10 o’clock, a wedding of unusual interest was solemnised, the contracting parties being Maggie, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs F. Duggan, Pitt Street, and Mr. Maurice Buckley, of Greymouth. Rev. Father O’Regan celebrated the Nuptial Mass. The church was most artistically decorated with choice blooms, a very attractive feature being a large wedding bell, tastefully ; made of crimson rambler, and heliotrope, interspersed with green and choice roses. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked the picture of happiness. She was attired in a charming frock of fawn, relieved with blue, and a large tulle hat completed a picturesque outfit. Her sister, Miss Lizzie Duggan, as bridesmaid, wore a frock of lemon crepe de chine, with which blended harmoniously a pretty hat of pale blue, relieved with gold. Mr. J. Duggan carried out the duties of best man. As the happy couple left the church, the “Wedding March” was played by Miss Myra Davies. After the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, and numerous toasts were honoured. In the afternoon Mr. and Mrs Buckley left per motor for Christchurch, where the honeymoon is to be spent. In the evening the guests were again entertained, and music and games were indulged in. The numerous presents and congratulatory telegrams received by the young couple testify to the great esteem in which both are held by the residents of this district, where they arc well and favourably known.
