WELLINGTON. December 20. The first Wellington wool sales since 1915 were held to-day. Prices for finer woolu were better than anticipated. Some of" the best bidding- came from one or two buyers apparently execut- | ing commissions for America. When lines other than fine cross-breds and rialf-breds were offered interest flagged. Where Bradford was concerned, coarse cross-breds sold badly. Super"me Ronyieys realised lid and good •jross-brcd hoggets brought 10 i. Some "me Marlborough merino was passed in :tt lSd. per lb.
