A NEW AGREEMENT.

FOR DUNEDIN TRAMWAY EMPLOYEES. DUNEDIN, December 20. The ' Tramways . Union has accepted the City Council 's terms as io hours and wages that were embodied in the latest offer as submitted by a committee appointed by the Council. Conductors in their first and second years arc to receive Is 8M per hour; m their thrrd, fourth and fif tTi years,l/9, in. their sixth - and - subsequent years, 1/10. Motormcn in their first and second years are to gee 1/9 per hour,, in their thiril, fourth and fifth years, 1/10; in their sixth and ' subsequent years, 1/11. , Theso advances represent an .extra Jd per hour. An important concession that will now be enjoyed by the men is double pay instead of time and a half for Sunday work. It is also pro- ) vid6d that a six-day week is to be recognised. Whcji a man is called for ' duty on Sunday ho is to get the day off during the' week. ' - -
