GEN ERALL NOTES.
The Greymouth Jockey Club have good reason to be proud of the nominations received for the three days Summer Meeting. Each Christmas has seen a steady 'improvement iv both the number and class of horses engaged, but this time a clear record hns been established, no fewer than 368 entries having been received by the Club, an increase of 73 over last year's Summer Meeting. The Cup has drawn 22 entries, the Grey Valley Handicap 20, the* High Weight Handicap 20, whilst the President's Handicap has attracted no fewer than 34. nominations. All this points to record act't'ptiiiMTS, and given fine Avcather during the three days' racing, the local Club should experience the most successful meeting yet held on the Omoto course.
