ADDINGTON STOCK SALES. The yardings at the weekly Addington market, were bigger than usual in most sections, particularly in beef and fat lambs. The approach of Chistmas stimulated the demand to some extent. There was a good attendance of farmers, and others STORE SHEEP.— The entry W as a large one for this time of the yea-i', Comprising for tlie greater part wethers, which insluded a good number of Chatham Island sheep. There was no life in the market however, for anything but good stores. Values were as- follows; — Forward four and six-tooth wethers, 27s to 29s 10d; Backward and inferior four and six tooth wethers,' 21s 6d to 235; Fair two-tooth wethers 245 ; cull and inferior two-tooth wethers, 14s lOd to 17s ; inferior two-tooth ewes 17s lOd to 22s Id ; inferior four and six-tooth ewes, 18s lOd ; good mouthed ewes and lambs, 17s 5d to 19s Id (all counted) ; FAT LAMBS— TIie entry was the biggest of the season. There, were 370 head. The sale opened at about last week's •rates, but competition . slackened as it progressed, butchers bidding conservatively.
