THE RAILWAY TROUBLE
BIG STRIKE THREATENED
LONDON, December 6
A sudden crisis has occurred in the railway world. Those responsible for the September trouble are endeavourVug to precipitate an immediate strike unless the railwaymen's national programme is conceded in principle.-
Mr Thomas has been recalled tc London and is conferring with Mr Stanley and the Board of Trade.
Mr Thomas sent a message. Tb all railwaymen's branches. He has given the necessary notice to cancel the truce with a view of bringing a national programme before the companies for negotiation an eight hour day.
