A specially selected scries of pietiires to suit the old and young on the eye of Xmas will be screened at the Opera House to-night and at the. mati 1 i-ee and evening performances; to-mor-row (Saturday). The usual "Stingaree" series (the 7th), "The Honour of tbc Road,'' will act as the star dramatic film in the display. This star shows the better side of "»Stingaree" und tells of his tracking down a robber and murderer, who, having robbed and murdered his partner, tries to • : tnrg\j the guilt * on to " Stingaree. " How the latter manoeuvres affairs so that although always in danger of capture he brings the culprit to justice, is excellently told. The "Gloria" Company provide, as the name applies, ''Amidst Wild beasts," an animal drama. The comedy element is supplied by the A.fi. comedy, V The Italian Barber, ' ' and the Lubin farce, ' Billie s Double," "All About Searchlights," and the Topical Budget complete the display. On Sunday evening the first , picture of the strong series of star features to .be presented during the holidays will be screened, and will feature the ever welcome Mary PickLford, in Daniel Frohman's successful I drama and play. "The Dawn of a Tomorrow. " This powerful story of shun and. society life is produced by the Famous Players.
