Holnian, against the Cumberland "Argus" and Thomas Davis Little, claiming £200 damages in each. Tbe case has been settled. The alleged libel consisted in the "Argus' referring to the political agreement not to contest elections during the war time, and declaring that Herr Holman and his Party had scrapped as a piece of paper, whereon the patriotic truce 'was written.. Mr Holman 's father gave evidence that his son's parentage on both sides was English. Replying to the Chief Justice's question: Are you or have you ever been or German sympathy?
