From a Charitable Aid recipient, whose allowance had been stopped, claiming reconsideration of her case. It was resolved that the decision of tbe Board be adhered to. From W. H. Hannah, Hokitika, Inspector of Rabbits and Noxious Weeds, requesting the Board to clear land of noxious weeds. — 'Received. It was resolved that the matter be Left with the Inspector to deal with. From Walter Neilson, Crhistchurch, [■•j maintenance of son in hospital, stating that lie was unable to pay owing to straitened circumstances. — Received.. From the Chairman of the luangaLiua Board, re Robert Aries. ■The Chairman moved that the Secretary reply to the letter and forward ;hc necessary forms. This was seconded by Mr R. C. Forsyth and carried. From the Secretary of Otago Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, ac. luowlcdgiug receipt of cheque on bc.lolf of the Cusack family. — Received. From the Government Statistician, •c. National Registration Act, 1915, stating that by proclamation issued mder above Act, every male resident jet ween the ags of 17 and 60, was required to furnish a personal schedule, md asking the Board's assistance in ! >btaining particulars from inmates of Institutions who might not be in a fit itate of health to fill in same.—Received and referred to the Medical Superintendent. On the motipn of the Chairman an r.erease of 5s was granted. Mr Ayrton moved that a small committee of three, with a chairman, be set up to deal with the financial position of the institution, and see if the Dverdraft could not be reduced. This was seconded by the Chairman and carried. VISITING COMMITTEE. The Visiting Committee report favourably on the working of the institution,- and submitted a large list jf necessary requirements for the institution. The Inspector was instructed to gel prices of different articles required md submit to next meeting.
