MATINEE TO-DAY.

No. 2 Group will present a grand matinee at the Town Hall at 2.30 p.m. to-day, when a specially selected programme will be screened and will give parents a splendid opportunity of inculcating into the minds of the young the desirability of contributing to the Sick and Wounded Soldiers' Fund in some degree, however slight. The excellent programme will be screened again in the evening, and is of such a calibre as,, to be worthy of patronage. In addition to the programme the Runanga Ladies' Physical Culture School's representatives will try^ con. elusions against a team of fine stalwart young ladies who have been specially selected to represent our staunch and true as steel Ally, France. More than ordinary interest has centred round similar contests in the past, and it not wide of the mark to assume that tonight's pull will arouse universal interest. SUNDAY'S GRAND STAR PROGRAMME. Sunday night's programme promises to be something out of the ordinary, as it includes two big star features. "An Example" is the U. Co.'s latest s!uccess, and is a most tense, powerful and emotional drama. More than the ordinary interest will be aroused by this screening. Company, and is recognised as being one of their best An excellent supporting series of the latest cinema successes is in store for the auditors.
