POLLARD'S PICTURES

To-night's all.new series of the latest cinema successes, will be headed by an Edison two-reel drama, entitled "The Best Man." This is a quickly moving drama concerning the stealing of an important secret cypher message and the marriage of a young lady to an unknown man, who resembles, by the aid of a. disguise, the man she intended to marry. The bridegroom and bride are pursued, and in a sleeping compartment the bridegroom recognises a detective. He awakens the bride and they decamp. The man she intended to marry arrives later, and he is looked upon' as an imposter. The end is convincing, clever, and most enjoyable. The other dramatic offerings are a quaint Vitagraph story, "The Man who Knew," and a smartly-writ-ten Lubin production, "The Lure of the Green Table." The comedy will be supplied by a Keystone radiator of merriment, ' ' The Noise of Bombs, ' ' and a Kalem jollity, "Ham, the Iceman"; an interesting industrial coloured Pathe film showing "The Sugar Industry." The orchestra will introduce several novelties. The - usual weekly matinee will be given to-mor-row, when a special programme will be screened.
