In the House, in reply to a question, Hon. A. Fisher said that, they wanted every able-bodied man in Australia to .join the ranks and be trained to go to the front when necessary.
NAVAL MEN ELIG!
(Reed 9 p.m.) • MELBOURNE, June 11. Naval men in the Commonwealth are now given a chance of getting into the firing line.
The Government Las approved of the enlistment of naval reserves and men with naval experience as reinforce rnents to the infantry brigade.
A FALLING-OFF IN RECRUITING
SYDNEY, June 11. Senator Pearce asked the press to give the widest publicity to his statement that recruiting had lately sL'bwn a marked . falling off, and that it was of vital importance that here should^ be no shortage of recruits for tie rein forcements.
