SHIPPING MOVEMENTS
STRATHDEE ARRIVES FROM SAN FRANCISCO. (Per United Press Association!) WELLINGTON, Oct. 16. The steamer Strathdee arrived in Wellington this evening with a general cargo from San Francisco for New Zealand and Australia. After discharging her cargo she proceeds to Sydney. The Terawhiti returned to-night after covering 100 miles in. search of the Kini. As it was found impossible to secure firemen for the Matai to-night, the vessel's passengers and baggage and mails 'were transferred to the-Uli-maroa.
It is hoped to get the Matai away for Sydney to-morrow. - . •
