INVENTION FOR THE BLIND. (Per Independent Cable Service.) LONDON, Sept. 10. At to-day's session of the conference of the British Association, Dr.' Fourn-ic-r Dalde exhibited a reading optophone, whkh enables a blind' person to road ordinary type by the agency, of sound. The "'notes" are made. by a. system of lettering of large size printed on gelatine;,' and Dr. Dalde hopes soon .to further •■ perfect, his ideas and to enable the blind to read all letterpress printed in black on ordinary paper.
