Senator Chamberlain has introduced a Bill asking for the abrogation' of the Hay-Fauncefote. and Clayton-Bul-wer treaties. Mr o'Gorma.n, ichaiirman of the int^r Oceanic; Canals Committee, endorsed Senator Chamberlain' s proposal. Mr O'Gorman declared that there was a great possibility of the Senate adopting the proposal as tihe easiest way ; out of the difficulty created by the British protest.
