A TWO DAYS' ARMISTICE.
LONDON, Feb ?.t. Mr John Morley's reply to Mr Ellis 31. P., was that the Gavernment of India had been instructed to take no steps leading an any way towards the permanent occupation of the Zakkakkel country. He added that tihe Im•pcrial Government adhered to the frontier policy of the past decade. The general arguments against, the. reversal of that policy were particularly strong in the present case. The Times interprets the latter remark .as a recognition of the Ameer's scrupulous friendliness. CALCUTTA. Feb 27. Major Willcocks assented to a two day s armistice to facilitate friendHiness in negotiations whidh .arc now proceeding. The Zakkas ar e at (Halwi in considerable numbers. Armed Afghans, Saugas, and other tribesmen have joined the Zakkas. .
