BIG SHIPMENT OF COLD.
AUCKLAND, June 23. A despatch from New York, dated May 1 2th, says that virtually every big liner_ now arriving is a treasure ship. Gold cargoes are rivalling the days, when the Spaniards were sending to Europe treasures of the Aztecs Gold is coming this way mostly to pay the foieign insurance companies' losses in the San Francisco fire. Altogether six aiic a half millions" of gold will will arrive to-morrow from Europe. The shipments from Europe since the earth' quake will exceed 50,000,000 dollars.
