Chamberlain at Ventersdorp
Advised the Boers to be Friendly General De la Rey's Advice (Received at 11 35 p m.) Capetown, Jan 26. Mr CUamborlain at Ventersdorp appeiledto the Boers to be friendly and loyal, promising equal liberty and more prosperity than they ever lad. Gener.tl Da la Rey, speakin? in Dutch, declared that Cham be-, lain was a strong man, and of the sort that was needed to set matters right. He urged the Boers to be loyal. Tlie Chamberlains' reached Lichtenburg on Sunday.
