The railway revenue for the quarter decreased over L 138,000 and the expenditure increased by L 37,000 com pared with the previous quarter. This was due to the drought and concessions on account of starving stock fodder, the carriage of which represented a loss of L 40.000. The extension of the eight hours' system in the service iacreased the expenditure ten thousand. The tramway earnings increased nearly L 33,000.
