c Discontent in the Assembly (by blkotrio telegraph — copyright) . (per press association.) (Received Oct 4, at 0 30 a m.) Melbourne, October 3. The Federal House passed estimates, including an additional amount of L 257,000, which necessitated the refusal of the loan. This involves a total reduction of L 220,000, the amounts returned to the States. The balance is token from the ordinary estimates. On the motion of Mr Lyne, Tbe House agreed that all the Senate's amendments stand in the E'ectoral Bill, Mr Reid protesting that it was a humiliating backdown, after compelling the members to hold oun so long. Adjourned to Thursday with the view of proroguing.
