"I TOOK THEM."

♦ ■ The laws relating to the unlawful taking of other people's property are somewhat stringent in the colonies, but their administration is occasionally the cause of much comment. It has frequently been noticed that the unfortunate, who, when perhaps pressed by want and hunger, appropriates to his own use a small sum, is sentenced to a long term of imprisonment ; whereas, the well-connected wrong-doer when charged with the larceny of perhaps thousands of pounds, has frequently, in reply to his "I took thpm/' received a sentence far from commensurate with his crime. The ill-gotten property of such actions never results in benefit, but there is a preparation now being sold throughout the Australian colonies — Bile Beans for Biliousness — which, when used, cause people to joyfully say "I took them." These beans are a purely vegetable preparation, aud the result of years of thoughtful research on the part of an American medical man. The use of any, even the slightest deleterious substance, ia most carefully avoided. They have been compounded with the especial object of assisting the liver, stomach and kidneys to thoroughly and effectually perform their natural functions. If any of the foregoing organs of the digestive system are impared, ill health is the result; and, in fact, nine- tenths of all the ills which affecfc mankind to-day are directly traceable to deranged digestive organs. As Bile Beans will restore those organs to their proper working order, they will prove efficacious in removing the causes of a great majority of the ailments from which men and women unfortunately suffer to-day. They have done this in thous^ ands of cases, and innumerable men and women to day find themselves in a position of great benefit through being able to say "I have taken them."
